Practices, a point to improve

Education has to be updated, because schools are giving the same education system for more than 100 years. The classes focus on a discourse of the teacher in front of a blackboard that can be conventional or digital, and the students at the end of the class or at the end of the subject, perform some exercises or exams on the subject that they have to memorize and that information will not take long time to disappear from their heads.

It is very important that the classes are agile, with discussions between all the students and the teacher, to get the student to believe that they are the center of attention. Students learn more with images, specific cases , proceedings; than with a simple explanation of a teacher and a reading of a book.

In addition, in the case that practices must be carried out, these should be a first contact totally real for the student to get used to the reality of this new work. The practices are very important, because everything in the theory is very simple, perfect and easy to perform, in reality they don’t take all the factors that affect the time of being in a job. We should have the best materials to be able to work, because that way we would learn how to work correctly.

Currently, there are many digital virtual reality simulation tools that can be very useful when we perform the practices and we could have the most modern materials that we will find in the future.

Many of these conditions are met in the vocational course that I’m studying in Llucmajor, but we could have more simulators to know more closely all the systems that we see in theory.

In the last two images we can see the planes that Globalia Formacion has to carry out the TMA course.

In my opinion I think that this material is not enough for a future to know all the systems that an aircraft has.

A visit to the hangar and other places to eat

This weekend my couple and I went to eat at a buffet at the Son Pardo racecourse. It is right next to the son pacs institute. It is a buffet where we can find typical Mallorcan dishes, such as “ tumbet” which are sliced vegetables such as aubergine, potato and green pepper, with tomato sauce. We also found "trampo", which is a salad of tomatoes, onions and green and red peppers, cut into very small squares. Most of the dishes in the buffet are good, I recommend the site to people who like buffets. Also this weekend I made a cheesecake with jam that was great. My partner and I like to have something sweet to eat after lunch. Right now, while I am writing the blog, I am preparing donuts, typical of this time of year. Next week I will upload photos of how the donuts have been. This week at Globalia we have continued with the hydraulic systems of the plane with Jose Miguel. In the workshop, Pere and I have finished assembling the turbochargers, we have stopped all the sc...

Questions about Rolls Royce's jet engine

Here I post all the questions I solved in the Rolls Royce's web page:  1-Why are turbine blades coated with a ceramic material? A)It makes them lighter  B)It helps make them stronger  C)It helps to stop them melting- D)It makes them a better colour 2-Why can’t titanium be used to make turbine blades? A)In temperatures over 600ºC where it rubs against other metals, it can burn- B)It is too dense and would be too heavy to use C)It is the wrong colour D)It is too expensive 3-Drag and drop the densities to the correct material: Titanium 6/4: 4.5g/cm3 Nickel alloy 8.2g/cm3 Partially yttrium stabilized zirconia: 5.1g/cm3 Nickel super alloy: 8.4g/cm3 4-What are the two main things engineers must consider when choosing materials to use in an engine? A)Colour and weight B)Cost and colour C)Weight and name  D)Cost and weight - 5-Which statement is true? A)To active the same amount of thrust you can either accelerate a Sma...

Car racing in the puig major and a hidden skydrol tank

This last weekend I went on an excursion to the Puig major, since this weekend there was a car race. Taking advantage of this event, the night before the race, I slept near to the village of Sóller, a small village located between mountains. Sóller seems to me a spectacular village since it is surrounded by mountains and with a special color in its houses. In addition, it has a small railway that reaches the port of Sóller. I camped near the road for the next morning to see the race from there. What impressed me most, is to see the sunrise from the mountain, with the town of Sóller just below. It was a full day that helped me to disconnect from the module 7 exam. Day 9 was my birthday and I brought cookies and croissants to class for my classmates. Upon arriving home, my partner had prepared a cake with 23 candles. The next weekend is her birthday and I will prepare some surprise ...  In theory class we have started the airplane's pneumatic system, but in practic...
