To bad weather, good face

This week I haven’t left home much, I have gone from home to Globalia training and from globalia training to home all week. Upon arriving home my partner heats the food that we already have prepared, or if we have nothing prepared we make some simple and fast dish since it is usually a little late. When we are eating, we talk about how the day has gone and sometimes I explain concepts that we have given in theory class or I explain what I have done in practice, this helps me to review somethings a bit. After eating, almost every day, I rest for a while before starting to review for the module 7 exam. As my partner also has exams these days, we are both motivated to start studying and not get distracted by other things. After studying we have to prepare dinner and some days we take the opportunity to make the meal the next day. These days the weather is not very good, it rains and it is windy, so I don’t feel like going out.
In Globalia Training we study module 11, we review the operation of the air conditioning of the aircraft and the pressurization system.
In the workshop we are disassembling components to identify different failures of the planes we have. Some practices such as the dismantling of the wheels of the main train of the turbocommander or the dismantling of the brake disc to check its wear, are some practices that we are doing this week. The change of wheels and brake discs, are practices that are done quite frequently when you are an aircraft mechanic and are very important practices.

In this post I will talk about how to obtain the title of superior technician in aeromechanical maintenance and how to obtain the license of technician in maintenance of airplanes B1.1 which is the necessary license to be able to sign in the documents of a commercial turbine aircraft. I will explain how to access these studies and what are the advantages of studying at the IES Son Pacs. I have selected some questions that may come to your mind before starting the course and that can help guide you. -How can I access these studies? As it can be accessed in several ways, in each course there are limited places for people who access through the bachillerato degree, other places for people who access by an vocational course of the same family or another family, there are also places for who access with an entrance exam to the university or an entrance exam to a vocational course. -Where do classes take place? During the first course, classes are held every Monday at the IES Son Pac

Back to work

We are already in a new year, after Christmas holidays we return to normal. It has been a vacation that I have been able to rest and thus be able to start with more desire the new year. This holiday I have been in Menorca with my family, my partner and my friends. The first few days I was sick and had to rest. But a week later I signed up for the course of Sant silvestre that took place in the town of Alaior. It was a very fun course. Here you can see the poster of the competition. These days in Menorca I have gone to many dinners and family meals, and I have eaten everything. I have also gone on foot and motorcycle tours on all the roads of the island.  Before returning to Mallorca, take advantage of the last days to go skiing to Andorra. It is a country that lives very well and the weather is fantastic. Too bad they don't have any airport nearby to be able to live there all year. On the ski slopes my partner and I enjoyed the snow skiing and sunbathing. Back in Mallorca,

Es salt des Freu, Randa and more corrosion

This week I took advantage of the good weather to go on a excursion to a couple of places that I had planned to go for a long time. The first excursion we have done this week, has been to visit a small river near Buñola where there is a waterfall called “Salt des Freu”. It is an excursion that does not take long if you are only going to visit the waterfall. My partner and I took less than 20 minutes to get from the car to the waterfall. To get there, the road is a bit narrow and has many curves, but it is not very difficult to get there. The trail that reaches the falls is located on the road from Bunyola to Orient. The trail that goes to the falls reaches Santa Maria del Camino. It is many hours of walking to get to Santa Maria. Here you can see some pictures we took when we reached the waterfall. The second excursion that my partner and I did was to climb the mountain of Randa. The mountain is right next to my house, but we took the car to reach the village of Randa. From there,
